Explosion protection systems for industrial installations


The way of protection against explosion depends on the type of the explosive atmosphere. Specifics of the dust-air or dust-gas mixtures and explosive atmospheres consisted of air (oxygen) and flammable gases or vapours and mists of flammable liquids require also specific ways of protection.

Gas, vapour and mist explosion protection means especially separating the volumes with explosive atmosphere so the explosion cannot spread from one to the other or separating the devices with explosive atmosphere from outer spaces so the ignition sources or flames cannot get inside. This protection is realized by so called flame arresters which allow normal flow of the medium but stop the flame of the explosion (or hot gases in general).

All protective systems must be ATEX-certified.

Dust explosion protection inside industry installation must prevent the device's destruction and thus the harm of the people around the technology. Another purpose of dust explosion protective system is to protect the explosion from spreading through the technology, causing so called "secondary explosions".

Explosion suppresion

  • Realized by ANTIDET RELIEF
Combination of the protections
