Explosion Protection Document (EPD)

For every technology of processing, storage or transport of explosive dust, Explosion Protection Document must be elaborated according to European Directive 99/92/EC (ATEX 137).

Based on the information on:

• processed material
• device functionality
• placement and connections of the device
• presence of persons around the technology
• functional states of the devices
• operational and safety regulations

Explosion Protection Document is elaborated including:

• specification of the devices with hazardous volume of dust
• clasification of the devices and designation into zones
• specification of possible ignition sources
• specification of dangerous devices
• proposals of definite (preventive and protective) precautions
• formulation of requirements on the machinery used in explosion hazardous areas
• proposals of organizational precautions
