Countings and simulations of pressure resistivity

After the explosion inside a vessel, the shell of this device is stressed by the effect of the pressure. For elimination the possibility of serious damage or destruction of the device, it is necessary to count pressure resistivity of the device.

Simulation of the stress of the device by explosion or reduced pressure can be realized on the base of perfect knowledge of construction, material and stress factors of the device. These simulations are realized by special software using high level CAE technology. The simualtions are non-linear which means they always respect material stress-deformation curve so the results are as precise as real test, but without destruction of the devices, of course. 3D model of stress, deformation and determination of the weakest places of the construction are the the results of these simulations.

The main advantages are time and financial savings compared to pressure tests or explosion test.

  • material the device is made of
  • mounting of the device
  • pressure stress
Output of the simulations are:
  • measures of the deformations
  • values of the strains
  • structural improvements proposals leading to the higher pressure resistivity
