VST Engineering uses an ANTIDET Suppressor personal protective system to safeguard the facility by suppressing an explosion.
The ANTIDET Suppressor protective system serves to suppress a dust explosion within a protected facility by actively interfering with the process of burning (extinguishing).
An explosion suppression system must often be combined with an explosion separation system.
The explosion suppression system consists of a control unit, at least one pressure and/or optical explosion detector, and at least one operating element.
The origination of an explosion is accompanied by an increase in pressure and by flame. Based on the detector type, these accompanying explosion events are detected within a protected facility and transmitted to the control unit. The control unit evaluates this condition as an explosion, and activates the respective operating element or elements. Opening of the operating element results in the delivery of the extinguishing medium (powder) into the protected facility, and thus, in explosion suppression.
