VST Engineering uses an ANTIDET Flap personal protective system to safeguard the facility by separating a dust explosion.
The ANTIDET Flap protective system is an active valve for separating an explosion and serves to separate the flame and pressure from an explosion, which spreads through pipelines from one facility to another, through its mechanical closure.
The facility itself is often safeguarded by explosion venting or by an explosion suppression system.
The ANTIDET Flap system comprises a control unit, at least one pressure and/or optical explosion detector, and at least one valve.
The origination of an explosion is accompanied by an increase in pressure and by flame. Based on the detector type, these accompanying explosion events are detected either within a protected facility (pressure) and/or in pipelines (flame) and transmitted to the control unit. The control unit evaluates this condition as a spread of an explosion and activates the respective valve or valves installed in a corresponding distance on the pipeline. Closure of the pipeline prevents the spread of explosion flame and pressure.
